I’m so excited to share something that’s been growing behind the scenes—something built from years of experience, lived insight, and real-life transformation.
The CONNECT Framework is a new way of thinking about speech and language therapy. It’s not a set of worksheets. It’s not a programme to follow step by step. It’s a values-led approach that puts connection, co-regulation and relationship at the heart of communication development.
Because communication doesn’t start with goals—it starts with feeling seen, safe, and supported.
What is the CONNECT Framework?
CONNECT stands for:
• C – Connection First
• O – Observe and Adapt
• N – Natural Routines
• N – Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice
• E – Empowered Caregivers
• C – Communication as an Outcome of Regulation
• T – Togetherness
This framework was born out of real work with real families. It’s about embedding support into the everyday—so that therapy becomes part of how we live, not something we have to add on.
It’s designed to be collaborative, intuitive, and deeply affirming—honouring both the child’s individual needs and the vital role of the parent or caregiver in leading the way.
Who is it for?
• Parents who want to feel more confident, connected, and capable in supporting their child’s communication
• Professionals who want to practise in a more responsive, diagnostic, and values-aligned way
• Schools and organisations looking for a model that reflects real children, real families, and real life
What’s coming next?
Over the coming months, I’ll be launching:
• Online courses and coaching spaces for parents
• Training programmes and reflective tools for professionals
• Downloadable resources based on the CONNECT framework
• A podcast series and learning community to keep the conversation growing
This is just the beginning.
My hope is that CONNECT becomes more than just a framework—it becomes a movement. One that reshapes how we view communication support. One that centres relationship, celebrates difference, and empowers both children and the people who care for them.
